When did Mahalo become a Cooking show, this is the 3 show in a week about cooking. I know last week they had a shake up but come on I have come to expect higher levels of quality from Mahalo.
As a side note I did enjoy it but it is not the content I am subscribing for. I’ll hang in there but please please please no more cooking unless it is an interview of someone.
Thanks
Ed

Well, that was amusing and all, but seriously some of these topics are pretty elementary. The ninja thing was well done. Is Tuesday the cooking day or something? Here’s my problem with these episodes… When it comes to making something like cupcakes, we’ve probably all done it before. It’s not rocket science. It would be more interesting to see interviews with actual gourmet chefs than to have every-day recipes presented in a wacky way.
Then there’s the way the ingredients are listed off, which seems to go on a bit too long, and it’s not practical if you were actually trying to follow the recipe because you have to play/pause/replay to keep up. It’s a lot more practical to just list tools and ingredients on as few screens as possible.
Sorry to be so negative, because I really did get a chuckle out of some of the ninja play here.

Hello, hello.
Well, I’m sorry to see some of you are getting sick of the cooking shows. Not all of our How Tos will be cooking-related, they just happen to be at this time because of the holiday season and we have some seriously delicious recipes at http://mahalo.com.
You will see some non-cooking topics soon, so please be patient and stick around! In the meantime, if you already know how to do these recipes we’ve been showing…let it be inspirational and surprise someone you know with some homemade goodies! ;-)
Thanks, as always, for the feedback!
Mahalo!

I have to agree with the others, since the site was redesigned, I don’t know what Mahalo is about anymore. Cooking podcasts, Celebrity News, Sports, Models, Liveblogging…. seems like it is trying to be all, no focus

Out of curiosity…what did you think Mahalo was about before?
November 15th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
It seemed more technology focused, but it did have its variety, especially with some of the previous How To’s or Day in the Life. I always enjoyed the “In 60 Seconds”, whether it was Apple keynotes, debates, etc. And I do like the weekly TWIYT
While there has been coverage of celebrities in the past (I remember the curious interview with Crispin Glover), it seems to have increased, especially with the redesign of the front page. If I cared that much about whether Jennifer Aniston made peace with her mom, I would watch Extra (eww…….)
Mahalo’s Front Page now seems like Yahoo, trying to give everything, lacking any sort of focus. I think the concept of Mahalo works (Human Search Engine/Part-Wikipedia), but I don’t know, something with the new front page and some of the recent podcasts seem underwhelming. Leave things like Sports & Music to those who do it better, and focus on what Mahalo can do best.
