What a beautiful pumpkin. You made it seem so easy. How long did it take? 2 suggestions: get one of those long lighters so you can light the pumpkin through the mouth and a big metal cooking spoon can help to clean the inside of the pumpkin so your hands won’t get as yucky with guts!

If we don’t know how to do this by now where have we been?

Leah seemed thinner than usual in this episode. I think the editing guys might have messed up the aspect ratio a bit. As for carving a pumpkin, I’d recommend two things. 1) Cut your lid out from the bottom instead of the top. One doesn’t have to worry about the lid falling in, and it is WAAAY easier to put a candle in it. And 2) check out this site: http://www.carvingpumpkins.com/, if you want to learn how to do some really advanced pumpkins. That site really bumped up my game for pumpkin carving.

I can’t wait to carve my pumpkin. Thanks for the professional advice, Leah.

You forgot to spray the inside of the pumpkin with hair spray. That way it will last weeks instead of days.

I like the idea, but found the episode a little slow. There’s no right way to pick a pumpkin, and it might have been nice to know where we can get carving designs online. Again, nice idea but there were a few times when I was thinking, “no duh…”
