Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” has a catchy title. It has an idea of bravery mixed with full confidence. There’s nothing Pollyanna about it. I will not support every part he tells, but he’s our president, and for me, he inspires trust. That may do more for any nation than any volume of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I was a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity isn’t over. I have seen the quips of those who don’t think Obama can do it. But step back a moment. Would anyone have most of us fail simply to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Keeping our priorities straight, let’s work together with this president and build our future.

John Adams, 1st Vice President and 2nd President of the United States, on being VP: “My country has in its wisdom contrived for me the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived; and as I can do neither good nor evil, I must be borne away by others and meet the common fate.”

The importance of the vice president should be to enforce the policies of the president. So whomever is elected in either McCain or Obama it should be someone who supports and doesn’t contradict the president elect.

With that said, Obama will pwn McCain!

I would bet money on Obama picking Tim Kaine. He wants someone who people will perceive as an outsider to fit within the theme of his campaign. Go to Intrade and bet on Kaine. Throwing Biden’s name out is just a smokescreen. He’s too divisive, and the Obama campaign has deceived themselves into believing they can snag Virginia, so I’d bet money on Kaine.

I think it will be Sebelius, just seems like she is the best one and is sort of the dark horse. I think that picking Joe Biden would be a huge mistake, Biden is stiffer than a kevlar enforced steel rod.
