MD153 – Hooping at Hoopadelic
![]() <-- View our previous episode! |
Since the toy hoop was invented by the ancient Egyptians in 1000 B.C., the hoop has moved in and out of vogue. The most modern variation on the simple toy hoop is Hooping, an artistic dance interpretation that has grown in popularity since the ’90s. Hoopadelic is one such studio, and we went over there to meet the owner Catherine Flournoy. She told us all about the studio, her passion for hooping, and hooping’s health benefits. And of course, Leah gave it a try!

Too bad we don’t have a Hoopadelic studio in our area…looks like fun.
Maybe we can hire Leah to put on a show in our town, she did a fabulous job.
This was Mahalo’s best episode…keep up the good work. Now I’m going to see if I can do it with my 99 cent hula hoop. Happy hula hooping!

Okay. I really like Leah as the new host of Mahalo Daily. Always brings a smile to my morning. But in this particular episode, I would’ve loved to have seen Lon attempting to hula hoop. That would’ve been a riot. In a train wreck sorta way.

Great job, Leah. You look like a “hooping” pro!
Catherine is awesome.

Oh dear Lord!!!
Leah, you could be a (put here your your favorite uncool, boring job, mine is “parking meter agent”) and still you’ll be cool and sexy. I think maybe it’s due to the italian genes.
Great show, Catherine has an incredible talent!

Great episode! I like the return to the more VB style episode. Leah is fantastic! She’s smart, funny and extremely attractive. Lon is funny, but give us more Leah like this. She rocks.

Yeah, you’ll get no arguments from me…This is a great episode, and exactly the sort of offbeat fun topic that suits Leah’s style. Way to go, D’Emilio.

Thanks! This was really fun and we’ve been playing with the hoops at the office when we need a little break–gets the creative energy flowing :-) I’ve gotten a lot better since we shot this!
Enjoy the last day of June! Wow! Summer is flying by….
Ciao!
Leah

Now that is what I am talking about. A simple, informative episode. Leah does a fine job by herself. She seems to really enjoy what she is doing. Well done team on picking her.

Cool episode. Never hurts to see attractive women gyrating in some form or fashion. :-D Looks like Leah was having a lot of fun. I especially liked the very last blooper.

It looks like hoops are not that hard to make. The ones at Wal-mart are too small. I’m going to buy some pvc pipe and try it out.
