MD143 – Sumo Wrestling

Sumo came to Los Angeles this month, and we took a trip down to the LA Sports Memorial Arena to check it out. We spoke to a couple of Sumo Wrestlers and found out about the basic moves involved in Sumo Wrestling. Grab a beer and some rice, but don’t take a nap until you’ve watched this video!

Leah’s voiceovers worry me, the tone sounds too boring, (uninterested, even), and almost lulls me to sleep. It should be more charming and animated, with much more inflection in the voice, not so monotone, or going so low so much.
If you want to improve Mahaolo Daily and not lose viewers (including me), that must be fixed. Simple as that.
My opinion anyway…

Great episode on such a noble sport. One wee correction, though. It’s pronounced “Ed-o” not “Eedo.” It’s the old name of Tokyo. Why they changed it, I can’t say. People just liked it better that way.

Attended on Saturday @ LA Sports Arena. Great show and vendors. Should have gone back Sunday but chose to watch the Lakers. Should have gone to watch Sumo. Great job Americus and Leah.
