You've got a few facts wrong -

* The source for the name "capoeira" is unknown. There's another version that says it means "tall grass", in which the slaves played.

* It's "angola", not "angolaN". And its moves aren't only slow, but they're also slow and tricky in other means (you don't have to be quick or kick hard to surprise the other person)
Slaves sometimes couldn't even get up higher than, say, 3-4 feet and they were chained so they dealt with what they have. Good angoleiros can play for a while at that low - it's really hard.

Nice show, though :)

Very nice work, only remember to keep the energy up in the voice-over. When she VO began it felt a bit... monotone, I guess.

Still a great effort and she would make a fine host.

What is amazing about Leah, which some probably didn't even realize is this. Did you notice how she tied in the beginning of the piece (lifting your ipod) with the end of the piece (downloading Brazilian music to your ipod).

To me that is superb genius and illustrates how a real interview should be handled.
She is the most articulate and is head and shoulders above the rest.

The total package.

What a natural talent! Leah D'Emilio definately has what Mahalo Daily is looking for in a host...smart, young, fun and charismatic!

She has great eye contact with those she is interviewing, as well as with the camera, drawing the audience in with her engaging smile and enthusiasm.

Her intro and entire interview was fun and upbeat, and even though I had never heard of Capoeira Besouro before, I couldn't wait to find out more about it! I'm sure that's what it's all about in this business....getting the audience interested and involved, and leave them wanting more! Leah has what it takes!!!!

didnt really impress me... leah didnt really seem to connect to any one of the people she was interviewing and seemed to be off camera a lot. She almost seemed disinterested torwards the end. My vote still is with Sarah!

After seeing them all, I believe that Leah is the only one who has the ability to replace the amazing Veronica Belmont. Leah is attractive, intelligent, articulate, entertaining and is a better reporter than Cali Lewis of Geek Brief TV, who sets the benchmark. The others are amateurs in comparison, although they did an admirable job. Vote for Leah everyone, you know she deserves it!

I waited until I had seen all six before making up my mind, but I think Leah was the best by far. I was quite taken with her after seeing this episode, but I wanted to give eahc them a fair chance to wow me. Leah did it more than anyone else. I think Andrea might come in second.
