MD019 - The Room: Interview with Tommy Wiseau
Every so often there comes a film that rises to “cult classic.” Tommy Wiseau’s The Room has reached that level in Los Angeles, where monthly showings have developed a Rocky Horror-esque following. Wiseau, the writer, director and lead role in the film, took some time to sit with us and discuss the film’s popularity.

I saw that movie over four years ago when it was advertised as “an electrifying film with the passion of Tennessee Williams.” We dragged over a hundred people to the last three days of it’s theatrical release.
I can’t believe it is still going!
I’m sorry.

Yow. That was some seriously bad acting.
Why are you doing so many of these fluff pieces when you still have geek cred?

Should not be long till this is on Extralife Radio as a crappy movie of the week.

Oh, my, that was wonderful! This was the best MD yet. Maybe do a follow up at one of the monthly screenings.

Hanry,
My sentiments exactly….why on earth is Veronica doing so many dumbed down pieces? She went from talking about the latest in tech to such topics as:
how to clean your keyboard (are u kidding?)
how to delete cookies!
how to make sushi
how to make grilled cheese (please!)
You need some more in depth, interesting topics.

Yeah that acting was really bad. I guess that’s the appeal of the film though?? I’ve never heard about it before but I’m glad i know now.

I would watch Veronica make a grilled cheese any day of the week. That said, this episode was a low one.
December 7th, 2007 at 2:43 pm
Yeah, I don’t get it. Is it supposed to be bad acting?

I can’t wait to see this movie!
Funny interview, Veronica. :)

I’ve been meaning to ask this for awhile…. but is the video auto loading and playing just a scam to get higher play stats? Because it is really annoying.

This episode was so great… even better then the Dopplr one! It’s refreshing to see MD do something interesting every now and then rather then lame tech stuff and boring food videos.
